Workshops - Choosing A Class
The studio is a place of inspiration and escape. Here you will find a comfy and cosy lounge
area with ornaments, magazines, tea and biscuits - just like going round Nan’s. When
researching classes and workshops it’s disheartening to see white spaces, neatness and a clock
on the wall. It’s too neat and tidy to be inspiring. To this end The Stitch and Make Studio is a
space given up to the worshipful creative experience. Here time stands still while you get stuck
in and learn something new and exciting. The Studio has many textile and sewing related
books and when you book a class most materials (unless otherwise stated) are supplied. We are
always happy to devise classes for hen parties such as fascinator or corsage workshops and also
children’s parties.

Testimonials

Beginners Sewing - Stitch & Make Studio
I was 46 had never been anywhere near a sewing machine and had never successfully made
ANYTHING in my life... I didn’t even know how to thread a sewing machine , let alone make
anything. In 4 short evenings, I had made my own fabulous bag.... a thing of practicality and
beauty...  I did it!
I had avoided all such skills at school and had a mother who just couldn’t bear the strain of
teaching me! A combination of fear of looking stupid and being the worst in the class had
always stopped me trying to learn to sew before. If you want a class that is fun, a studio with a
great vibe, really approachable and skilled teachers who teach in a really understandable way,
then The Stitch & Make Studio is the place to start your creative sewing life!
